Notes: The painting shows the place where Tomales Bay meets the Pacific Ocean is near Dillon Beach (CA). The geography also has Bodega Bay within sight to the Northwest as the eagle flies. The clash of the currents renders the location spectacularly violent and, beautiful. Dillon Beach a bit inland can be a favorite surfing spot, but also prime hunting grounds for Great White Sharks (for seals, and an occasional unlucky surfer).
The painting captures the moments when the currents meet and have churned up waves and sand as the wind lashes the water creating powerful wave action. Not for the faint of heart!
